1. Lavani Point

Labani Point is regarded as the primary beach of Cox’s Bazar because of its proximity to the city. The area surrounding the beach features numerous shops, both small and large, which serve as an additional attraction for tourists.

2. Himchari

Himchari is located 18 km south of Cox’s Bazar and is popular with tourists due to its mountains and springs.

Best Time To Visit Cox’s Bazar

Several three-wheeled beach bikes ply the Cox’s Bazar sea beach. Tourists have to pay fifty rupees for these bike rides for a distance of about 1 km.

4. Parasailing

Tourists can see the natural beauty of the sea and mountains from the sky by parasailing. Daryanagar and Himchari in Cox’s Bazar have this opportunity to fly in the sky. This adventure is open daily by two establishments under the same ownership, ‘Satellite Vision’ in Daryanagar and ‘FunFest’ in Himachari. Anyone below 12 years of age, except those with a weak heart or heart disease, can go parasailing safely. However, the weight of the rider should be within 120 kg in the wind condition. Children can climb with an instructor.

There are three packages here. 1500 rupees for a normal ride, which includes only the flight. Ways and fares to Cox’s Bazar

There is a direct train service from the capital, Dhaka, to Cox’s Bazar. Additionally, there are direct bus services from various locations such as Chittagong, Khulna, Sylhet, and Rangpur to Cox’s Bazar. In Dhaka, buses leave for Cox’s Bazar from several locations, including Fakirapool, Arambagh, and Motijheel.

For non-AC buses, options include Shyamoli, TR, Hanif, Younik, S. Alam, and Sayadia, with fares ranging from 800 to 1,000 taka. If you prefer to travel by AC bus, you can choose from companies like Green Line, Sayadia, Desh Travels, TR, and Sohag, with fares ranging from 1,600 to 2,000 taka (business class). The journey may take approximately 12 to 14 hours.

Additionally, St. Martin’s Transport operates AC buses that run directly to Teknaf. For non-AC services, Unique and Shyamoli are quite reputable, while Desh Travels and TR Travels are recommended for AC options.

Cox’s Bazar by plane

You can also go by plane. Return fares range from Tk 8,000 to Tk 12,000. One-way fare starts from 5000. US Bangla, Novo Air, and Bangladesh Biman go to Cox’s Bazar.

Those who want to go by train

Many people want to go to Chittagong by train and then go to Cox’s Bazar from there. In that case, you have to come to Chittagong by Trina-Nishitha, Suborn Express, Mahanagar Prabhati/Godhuli, and Chittagong Mail from Dhaka. You can go to Cox’s Bazar by BRTC bus from the BRTC counter opposite Chittagong railway station. Or take CNG and go to New Bridge or Dampara to board the Cox’s Bazar car. At present, the hotels in Cox’s Bazar have a capacity of about one and a half lakh tourists. So, even if you don’t book, there is a chance of getting a hotel, but it becomes risky in late December and early in the year.

Sea Palace, Sea Gull, Coral Reef, Mermaid Resort, Nitol Resort, Islandia, Beach View, Sea Crown, Uni Resort, etc. will cost Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000.

Where to Eat

Almost every residential hotel has a food restaurant in or near the hotel. While traveling to Cox’s Bazar, tourists are more attracted to the attractive menu prepared with different types of fish from the sea. Tourists are especially attracted to the tasty shutki fish dishes, including prawns, roopchanda, laitya, and knife fish.

Among the budget restaurants, the names of Jhowban and Paushi come first. Paushi is quite popular among them. Also there are Rodela, Dhansindi and Nimili, Shalik, Coal. Besides, you can have Hyderabadi Biryani at Handi Restaurant for Tk 200-250, which is located at Labani Point. Besides, KFCO is also among the international brands.

But if you want to be loved by your son-in-law, then go to Shalik Restaurant. Their service is good, and the food quality is not bad. Besides, if you want to eat for less money, you can go to the Boishakhi Hotel in Kalatali. Their food quality is also good. If you want to eat crab, eat a small crab for 25-30 taka because you can eat everything.

Warnings and other information on marine diving

Be sure to know the tide times before going into the sea. There are several signboards and flags of the Yachi Life Guard at different places on the beach. Bathing in the sea during high tide is safe. During this time, therefore, the tide time is indicated, and the green flag is flown.

Bathing in the sea at low tide can cause anyone to get lost in an instant under the dangerous current.
